Pictures form infected Mushroom

Here is wher you can find some of my pictures from last night Infected Mushroom at Epic. I have more, but I can only put 25 of them up on flikr at a time.

Infected Mushroom @ Epic

I had a good night tonight at Epic, I will tell you why in a little bit why it was not great. The music was all awesome, hats off to all the DJ's. Jeff Hunter did a great job, I love his sets. What I don't understand is why DJ's don't give out CD's like Jeff did tonight. Infected Mushroom was off the hook Crazy. I loved the little Evil Mushrooms on stage and the laser show was a little more then I had ever seen at one of these show. It was very well thought out. Tonight's show was a live set, but being a musician myself I was stuck trying to figure out what was live and what was Memorex. If you get the chance to see there show they do a great job. Since this was my first time ever seeing and hearing them I can't give you a run down of the songs. It was kind of strange I kept thinking I was listening to KMFDM  or Rammstein

The down side of tonight
1) I eventually had people with bad hygiene standing around me

2) A white guy with dread locks who was under age and getting drinks while security was watching. A few times I thought he was going to blow it all out. He was hanging on the monitors to the point that he was pealing the front mesh off of it.

3) A guy pushing maximum density pushed his way to the front and then pushed me and 3 others out of our spot.

4) The special screen used for the Laser Show fell on one side because it looked like a woman by it untied it (but not sure on that).

5) In the VIP/Bottle Service areas they had the rails covered with silver Mylar, which was really cool, but one group took theirs down, and before the end of the show i saw two more go.

What is wrong with all you people? I had a nice spot and I felt violated, which I had never felt before at Epic.
So in short Music was Awesome the crowd sucked.

a staggering six week tour of America

Beginning in Puerto Rico on March 19, the superstar will criss-cross countries for an impressive 40 days, taking him to 12 states with over 20 shows scheduled.  Aside from a quick jaunt back to his home country in April to headline the massive Trance Energy festival (a festival for which he composed the theme song Renegade AND mixed the upcoming Trance Energy compilation album), Sander will be touring continuously through May 1st.

Its impressive to see a Dj of his level making such a huge commitment to the American market.  Sander van Doorn can literally play anywhere, so its amazing to know that we (in America) are such a priority. Thank you Sander! 3

Hans Thurau, Publisher Clubdistrict (USA)
From Miami to New York, California to Las Vegas, Puerto Rico to Canada and all points in between,
Sander van Doorn is excited to bring the SvD style and music to so many.

I love DJing in America because you get to play longer sets, which means you can play more diverse styles of music.
So in some ways this is quite a selfish thing because Id just like to spend some more time there!

- SvD

Sander plays his first US date on March 20th for Beyond Wonderland, where he will be headlining to 40,000 very excited party people.  From there, he heads to Miami for the Winter Music Conference, where he will play super club Space, along with a highly anticipated appearance at The Ultra Music Festival. A quick slingshot around the globe for Godskitchen in the UK on April 1st and Trance Energy on April 3rd, and hes back touring North America until May 1st.

With such a massive undertaking, Sander wanted to end things right, and as only he can. On the last date of this historic tour, Sander will celebrate with a very special Dusk Till Doorn event at the Guvernment in Toronto on May 1st.

Something Viral for you all.

As a DJ I am always looking at ways to support my music habit.  It cost alot to buy software and keyboards and sounds to create the kind of stuff we play.  Now back to where I was going with this.  I found this program that is pretty darn easy to do.  It has potential and it costs you nothing to try, its free.  How much you make is really up to you and how much you want.  On the link I am supplying there is a confrence call you can listen to it, its about 30 some minutes long.  You can also go through the site to get a better idea of things to come.  But this is one easy way to make some money between gigs. All you need to do is Click Here and listen to te recording

Thanks  & I hope you join me with this....

Alex 'D-struct' Newman

Before Oakenfold went on D-Struck hit the decks and I do mean hit the decks.  His set was so powerful that a woman jumped up on stage grabbed the front of the futuristic table and shook her booty for all the world to see, she did it twice.  If he would have been spinning Vinyl he would have had a train wreck of a show, I'm sure he was glad ha had digital.
Alex “DJ D-Struct” Newman was born in Germany, but grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  if you want to know more you can read his Bio at SIM.

In January of 2008, Alex joined Sound in Motion as an intern. By May, he was asked to be a permanent crew member and played his first official show while opening for Benny Benassi. Alex has since opened for Ferry Corsten, Fedde Le Grand, MSTRKFT, Carl Cox and many others. He was also named the #3 Crossover DJ in Minneapolis by

The event is known for always having an unnamed, unannounced, "Special Guest DJ" with past alum being the true titans of dance music. Paul Oakenfold was off the hook tonight

Tonight was unbelieveable  The lights, The Giant LED wall that was kind of like a jumbo-tron, and the bass.  If you saw me I was the guy standing just left of center stage and I looked like your father.  I had Steph (some girl who must have come from Heaven) on one side of me and Brett (some guy from Eagan) on the other side.  They were text each other the whole night.  I would have traded places with him, but we both would have lost our front spots.  I don't know if the show sold out, but with all my Tweets on Twitter it should have.  The music was Bomb-Bastic from all the DJ's playing, but I do have to ask one question.

Why do people in the back continue to push towards the stage?  It not like the person that is performing is going to take you home, much less touch you.

I got the feeling that Paul didn't much care for the spot-light, since it was dark for most of his set, some would say it was to show off the video wall behind him.  When the spot-light did hit him he seem to move back to where it was more dimly lit.  Anyways I am pressed against the stage unable to tell if it was man, woman or beast humping me.  One person kept saying he wanted to be where I was and kept putting his hands in my face to get me to move.  I just don't understand fans and why they have to be so rude to get close to someone that really doesn't care to know them.  Don't get me wrong I have talked with the guys from The Crystal  Method, Felix the Housecat and many others, but they were willing to do that, they don't seem to have an issue with their fans.  When Paul was finished he was gone, never did come in front of the decks.  But man what a show, I will try to post my pics of the Go Go Girls tomorrow.
