So then we get down to what is a pair of pants?  In America its also trousers and in British terms its under-pants. When we ask for a pair of pants are we really asking for trousers and under-pants?  Since Pair means two or a matched unit like gloves or socks.

What happens with pants and it having to do with breathing?  How did trousers become pants? According to Wiki Pants, the plural ancestor of the "Pant" were invented in 1904 by William P. Pants , but this wiki page seems suspect to not being credible since doing a Google search only returns that page for William.

So it still comes down to why do we call trousers, pants?

Give me a White Holiday.

I am curious to know how people feel about this.  I was having a conversation with someone and they said, "Did you know there is no such thing as a holiday for white people".  Then I started thinking about it and I could not come up with one.  I first said Christmas trying to offset Kwanzaa, But that's for Christians.  So I found a website that listed all the National Holidays and most of them include everyone.  Is that wrong?  I have never pondered the idea before.  Religions have their own and maybe the Anti Religious should be upset because they don't have one.  But those Religions aren't all white either.  Why would White people need a holiday?  I know that some consider white to be the same as Caucasian.  Which originally stood for the physical or biological type of some or all of the populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, Western Asia, Central Asia, and South Asia.  Are people starting to think that their heritage is not being celebrated like St. Patrick's Day?  Whose responsibility should it be to celebrate your heritage?  I know there are Fesitvals for heritages, but I still don't know what the person was expecting me to say.  I think its more fun to celebrate with my friends no matter who they might be.  I can't think of any holidays for American Indians or Asians either.

New Year's Day

New Year's Day is January 1. The celebration of this holiday begins the night before, when Americans gather to wish each other a happy and prosperous coming year. Many Americans make New Year's resolutions.

Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Washington's Birthday

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a observed the last Monday of May. It originally honored the people killed in the American Civil War, but has become a day on which the American dead of all wars are remembered.

Independence Day

Independence Day is July 4. This holiday honors the nation's birthday - the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It is a day of picnics and patriotic parades, a night of concerts, and fireworks.

Labor Day

Labor Day is the first Monday of September. This holiday honors the nation's working people, typically with parades. For most Americans it marks the end of the summer vacation season and the start of the school year.

Columbus Day

Columbus Day is a celebrated on the second Monday in October. The day commemorates October 12, 1492, when Italian navigator Christopher Columbus landed in the New World. The holiday was first proclaimed in 1937 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11. This holiday was originally called Armistice Day and established to honor Americans who had served in World War I. It now honors veterans of all wars in which the U.S. has fought. Veterans' organizations hold parades, and the president places a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. In the fall of 1621, the Pilgrims held a three-day feast to celebrate a bountiful harvest. Many regard this event as the nation's first Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving feast became a national tradition and almost always includes some of the foods served at the first feast: roast turkey, cranberry sauce, potatoes, and pumpkin pie.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day is a celebrated on December 25. Christmas is a Christian holiday marking the birth of the Christ Child. Decorating houses and yards with lights, putting up Christmas trees, giving gifts, and sending greeting cards have become holiday traditions even for many non-Christian Americans.

Ethnic and Religious Holidays

Various ethnic and religious groups in the United States celebrate days with special meaning to them even though these are not national holidays. For example, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter, Jews observe their high holy days in September, and Muslims celebrate Ramadan. There are many other religious and ethnic celebrations in the United States.

Is Paul Really Dead?

Today lets slip into an unrealistic way of thinking, relax turn off your mind and float down stream.  Today I would like to talk about Sir Paul McCartney.  This subject keeps coming up off and on and it makes me wonder how the stories could have come to be?  According to the film "The Last Testament of George Harrison", which leads you to believe it is narrated by George Harrison.  This mockumentary as it is called could be quite credible, except for one thing.  

If Billy Shears won a look alike contest in order to cover up the fact that Paul died in a car crash with Rita (The meter maid).  How did those creating the cover up luck out to find a look alike with such amazing talent?  Paul McCartney is still going strong today releasing new music and even collaborating with Rap Artists.  John and George have both passed on, but you only see little tours by Ringo at state fairs.  

How would one compare the musical talent of the dead McCartney and the one that supposedly took his place.  After all Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band came from the impostor and everything after that.  

So is music better off today if there was a switch?  Would we still have had such songs as "Hey Jude", "Band on the Run", and "Live and Let Die" if the real Paul didn't die.  So my last question is could anyone have become a Paul McCartney look alike or not just by being surrounded by the others in the band?
